How a round is decided
Every 15 minutes a new round starts with a target price. At the end, Kalshi doesn't use the last tick. It uses the average price over the final 60 seconds (the CF Benchmarks real-time index).
Average at or above the target means Up wins (so ties go Up). Below it means Down wins. Because the last minute is averaged, late spikes only count partly.

Disclosures
- Data timing. Live prices come from Coinbase's public feed, checked about every 5 seconds in your browser. Round info (target price, close time, market prices) refreshes about every 5 minutes and may lag or be out of date. Data can be delayed, missing, or wrong.
- Settlement source. These rounds settle on the CF Benchmarks Bitcoin (or other coin) Real Time Index averaged over the final 60 seconds, not on Coinbase prices. Close rounds can show one way here and settle the other way.
- Not advice. The dial is an automated live estimate of where the price sits versus the target. It is not a prediction, recommendation, solicitation, or financial, investment, or trading advice. Make your own decisions.
- Past results. Historical stats come from past official results and a reference price. They do not guarantee future results.
- Risk. Event contracts carry risk of loss, including your full amount. Trading is only for people 18+ (or the minimum age where they live) in jurisdictions where it's permitted, under the exchange's own rules and eligibility requirements.
- Independence and trademarks. This site is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kalshi, CF Benchmarks, or Coinbase. All trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe the markets and data sources.
